MCPASD Staff and Families,
We are pleased to report that MCPASD’s operational referendum has passed!
Thank you to everyone in our community for supporting the operational referendum. We’re so grateful for our community’s history of investing in our schools and upholding our tradition of excellence.
Passing this referendum means we will sustain the excellence of our schools. We will continue maintaining low and competitive class sizes to support personalized learning and superior outcomes, and offer robust curricular, athletic, music, arts and extracurricular opportunities. Also, we will continue providing competitive salaries to retain and attract high-quality staff. The referendum will also fund needed facility maintenance, sustainability, and infrastructure.
We still have work ahead, and remain committed to achieving some $5 million in budget reductions over the next four years. We will continue to be good financial stewards of taxpayers’ money, be transparent with our community about the funding received from this operational referendum, and report the budget cuts that will be made.
We will prioritize cuts minimizing the impact in classrooms and students’ day-to-day learning experiences. We will sustain our outstanding student achievement, award-winning arts and athletics, and strong career and technical education programming.
In this video, I talk with Board President Bob Hesselbein about what passing the referendum means for our schools. If you prefer reading rather than watching, this is a transcript of the video.
Again, thank you for the support. Your continued investment in our community enables us to maintain the exceptional educational experience you have come to expect from the Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District.
Warmly,
Dr. Dana Monogue
MCPASD Superintendent
