The Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District is pleased to announce that Josh Forehand will serve as the next principal of Sauk Trail Elementary School, effective July 1, 2026.
Forehand will assume his new role when current principal Chris Dahlk retires after 35 years of service in public education.
Forehand brings 13 years of experience as principal of the Nuestro Mundo Community School, a K–5 Spanish-English dual-language immersion charter school in Madison, and a candidate school for the International Baccalaureate program. His leadership background spans various educational settings across Texas, Honduras, and the Madison Metropolitan School District, giving him a broad foundation in supporting learners and teachers.
He earned his bachelor’s degree from Tarleton State University and his master’s degree from Cardinal Stritch University.
MCPASD congratulates Forehand on his role and welcomes him to the District. His extensive experience and his deep commitment to every student and every classroom will be a valuable addition to what Sauk Trail has built.
