Middleton High School seniors Rohan Dileep and Bea Norman talked with WMTV 15 News' Leigh Mills about Middleton Meals Matter's work to fight food insecurity.
Middleton Meals Matter is a student-led nonprofit now in its second year. In its first year, the group collected about 58,000 pounds of food valued at more than $100,000 for WayForward Resources and Second Harvest Food Bank.
Co-presidents Dileep and Norman shared how the organization is expanding chapters across Dane County and across the country. They've helped establish six chapters at Dane County high schools and one chapter in New Jersey.
Dileep and Norman also talked about continuing to partner with elementary and middle schools to encourage younger students to get involved.
