Middleton Theatre Receives Top Honors at 2025 Jerry Awards

Middleton High School’s Theatre Department is celebrating a major accomplishment this spring with multiple wins at the prestigious 2025 Jerry Awards, one of Wisconsin’s highest honors for high school musical theatre.

Presented by the Overture Center for the Arts, the Jerry Awards recognize exceptional talent in performance, technical production, and overall excellence in high school musical theatre across the state. Often referred to as Wisconsin’s version of the Tony Awards, the program shines a spotlight on young performers and celebrates the powerful impact of arts education.

This year, Middleton High School earned Jerry Awards in two productions:

Beauty and the Beast

  • Outstanding Lead Performance: Ava Greenberg as Belle

  • Spirit Award: Aathirai Balasubramanian

You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown

  • Outstanding Musical

  • Spirit Award: Ben Freiberg

These awards reflect the outstanding creativity, dedication, and collaboration of Middleton students and staff. Honorees will take the stage at the Jerry Awards ceremony on June 8 at the Overture Center in Madison.
