Middleton High School senior Jahnvi Datta has been awarded the 2022 Governor's Financial Literacy Award. This award recognizes individuals who elevate Wisconsin residents' financial literacy, capability, and financial inclusion.
Governor Evers awarded all recipients at the Wisconsin State Capitol ceremony on April 24th.
Jahnvi created her program, Know Your Dollar, which provides free financial education to middle schoolers, especially those in underserved areas. The program partners with many youth organizations in the Madison area and has been impactful in approaching financial literacy to resonate with our community's youth. Jahnvi's mission is to have students leave Know Your Dollar with knowledge surrounding fundamental personal finance concepts but, more importantly, with the confidence and curiosity to learn even more in the future.
