Kromrey 5th Grader Wins World Plumbing Day Poster Contest

Mrs. Everett's 5th grade students at Kromrey Middle School were given the opportunity to participate in the World Plumbing Day Poster Contest, thanks to a local company called First Supply. The contest, which was held in March, aimed to raise awareness about the importance of plumbing and the plumbing industry.

Out of all the entries submitted, Charlie Sterling's poster was selected as the winner of the 2023 ASA World Plumbing Day Poster Contest. This was a huge achievement for Charlie and Kromrey Middle School, as they were awarded $500 each for their efforts.

But Charlie's success didn't stop there. He was also selected as the runner-up for the International Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene Foundation (IWSH) contest, winning $50 for himself and another $500 for Kromrey Middle School.

In total, Charlie's entry won $1,000 for Kromrey Middle School, which is a fantastic achievement and a testament to his hard work and creativity.

To celebrate Charlie's success, Katie Poehling Seymour, the President and CEO of First Supply, joined the students and faculty at Kromrey Middle School on May 30th for an award presentation and celebration. Board President Sheila Heibner was also in attendance to congratulate Charlie and the 5th grade class on their achievement.

Congratulations to Charlie Sterling and the entire 5th grade class at Kromrey Middle School for their outstanding achievement in the World Plumbing Day Poster Contest!
