DECA Team

Middleton DECA wrapped up its year in Orlando with 14 members competing in various events. Middleton’s efforts culminated in a top 10 overall finish by Varsha Gouraram in Apparel and Accessories, along with Jackson Rademacher earning a medal on the Accounting Applications cluster exam. “I have competed in the Apparel and Accessories Marketing event for the past three years so being able to place in the top 10 at ICDC was a rewarding end to my DECA experience,” said Gouraram.  “It was great to see all of my hard work over the past four years pay off and to see competitive success from the members of Middleton DECA!”

Perhaps just as impressive was the number of first-time competitors that made it to ICDC for Middleton. “I’m definitely impressed with all of our new members,” said Jackson Rademacher, VP of Public Relations for the club, “I think we had 4 competitors doing DECA for their first time ever, with two of them being freshmen. That kind of achievement on the first experience at such a high level of competition shows the dedication of all levels of our chapter, not just the returners, which bodes well for the future of DECA as a whole.”
