At Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District, we know that technology is changing quickly, and one of the biggest shifts is the rise of Artificial Intelligence, or AI. To help guide how we use AI in our schools, we created an AI Workgroup made up of staff from across the district.

This group has been working together to create clear guidelines for how AI should be used in our classrooms and behind the scenes. Their goal is to make sure AI helps support learning in meaningful and responsible ways, while keeping student safety, privacy, and fairness a top priority.

We want families to know how AI might be used, what we’re doing to protect students, and how we’re teaching students to use these tools thoughtfully. This webpage shares our vision, key principles, and the rules we follow to make sure AI is used in ways that help everyone succeed.

Whether your student is learning how to use AI to brainstorm ideas or you’re curious about how we keep student data safe, we hope this information helps you feel informed and confident about how AI is being used in MCPASD.
