Rodney "Mr. Peanuts" Esser named runner-up in Cintas Custodian of the Year Contest

Rodney Esser, who is fondly referred to as "Mr. Peanuts" by the students and staff at Park Elementary School, has been awarded the runner-up position in the Cintas Custodian of the Year Contest.This annual competition recognizes the hard work and dedication of custodians nationwide.

To celebrate Esser's accomplishment, Cintas representatives, along with staff from Park Elementary, Board of Education members, Administration and the entire student body, surprised him with a ceremony this morning. He visibly moved as he was presented with a $1,000 cash prize, a trip to Las Vegas, and more!

Esser has been a custodian at Park for almost 60 years and is known for his positive attitude and commitment to his job. He takes pride in keeping the school clean and safe for everyone who uses it. He was selected as a finalist out of thousands of nominees and had tens of thousands of votes!

The Middleton-Cross Plains Community and Park Elementary are proud of Esser and his accomplishments. He is a beloved member of the community and a shining example of what it means to be a dedicated custodian.
