Middleton High School is thrilled to announce that students recently earned top honors at the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) National Leadership Conference in Anaheim, California.
39 students proudly represented Middleton High School at the prestigious conference from June 29 through July 2. They showcased their exceptional leadership skills in more than 100 business-related events, competing against nearly 11,000 other students from more than 2,000 schools nationwide.
“Watching students grow throughout the school year is incredibly rewarding,” said Bill Boehm, FBLA adviser at Middleton High School. “They dedicate themselves to studying, practicing their presentation skills and incorporating feedback from the regional and state competitions. The National Leadership Conference is a culmination of their hard work, and it’s thrilling to see them shine on a national stage.”
Middleton High School students also earned national recognition during the conference, winning the championship spots in two events: Digital Animation and Parliamentary Procedure. Students also placed in the top ten in three events: Sports and Entertainment Management, Insurance and Risk Management, and Introduction to Financial Math.
FBLA is the largest student business career organization in the world. The attributes that students develop through FBLA reflect the Cardinal Foundations and Cardinal Mindsets laid out in MCPASD’s Future-Preparedness Framework: A Cardinal’s Journey.
“Career and technical student organizations like FBLA assist with our classroom instruction, offering hands-on opportunities to apply business concepts, develop leadership skills, and prepare for future careers,” Boehm said.
