Inspiration Grants
Applications are now being accepted for the Inspiration Grant program. A highlight every year, these small grants make a big impact. Our teachers and staff continue to show an increased interest in this program, with the average grant amount of $1,000. Last year, teachers applied for more than $68,000 in grant requests, a 37% increase from the year prior. All expectations point to a steady climb in requests as MCPASD teachers continue to propose inspiring plans to benefit both our students and our school community.
One classroom teacher at Middleton High School was able to purchase an iPad for her Advanced Art course. While enriching the curriculum, the iPad also allowed far more students to participate in digital projects. Typically, 1-2 students would work on digital art projects, using their own personal devices. With the classroom iPad, that number jumped to 15 students.
“The integration of an iPad in our art room has had a substantial and measurable impact on student access, creativity, and portfolio development.”
The total amount awarded through Inspiration Grants each year is dependent on how much is raised through our community. If you would like to donate to the Education Foundation’s classroom innovation efforts, please click the link below or reach out to us at mcpasdfoundation@gmail.com
