The MCPASD Education Foundation’s mission is to foster excellence within the Middleton Cross Plains Area School District by funding innovative educational opportunities, supporting equitable access and building community partnerships.
Did you know that 1 in 6 students are food insecure right here in our own community? Did you know that 47 students are currently homeless? Can you be a part of helping our area families?
Each year, we work to ensure that students have access to ongoing educational opportunities , innovative learning, and essential needs. Last year the Education Foundation’s work impacted students, families, teachers and staff throughout the district:
HIGHER EDUCATION - $142,000 in scholarships for MHS seniors to continue their education.
FOOD INSECURITY - $20,000 to provide food to more than 7,000 elementary and middle-school students who battle food insecurity when not in school.
STUDENT ESSENTIAL NEEDS - $6,000 in supplies assisting 100 district families with basic needs such as hygiene products and clothing.
INSPIRATION GRANTS - $17,300 to teachers and staff who design inspiring and innovative learning opportunities.
MUSIC - $26,000 for instruments for middle school students enabling hundreds of students to engage in music education, which has been shown to aid academic, social and emotional development.
As we enter the winter months and the second half of the school year, we are reaching out to the Middleton Cross Plains community and asking for your partnership. A contribution of any amount can make a significant difference:
$25 per month or $300/year covers one student for a whole semester in the Weekend Food Program.
$25 per month or $300/year provides personal hygiene supplies for the school year for a student in need.
$50 per month or $600/year helps teachers provide inspirational learning opportunities through the Inspiration Grants
$100 per month or $1200/year provides food, clothing, school supplies, and other needed items at MHS’ Cardinal Nest for one month
$200 per month or $2400/year provides new band or orchestra instruments for student use for the next 10 years.
$10,000 will provide a new washer and dryer at one of our elementary schools, helping our neediest students overcome basic barriers to learning.
