The Middleton Debate Team had a successful season at state this year!
Varsity Speaker Awards: Nancy Liu placed 9th, Ria Karthik placed 8th, Dhruv Prakash placed 6th, Alexa Garber placed 5th, and Dheeraj Pasikanti placed 4th.
Varsity placements: Vivian Liang, Rishika Kommuri, Patrick DeCabooter, and Ethan Sanders were octo-finalists. Nancy Liu, Ben Pralat, Rhea Dalvie and Ria Karthik were quarter finalists. Dheeraj Pasikanti and Dhruv Prakash were the varsity state champions and won the tournament.
Junior Varsity Speaker Awards: Crystal Huang placed 3rd.
Junior Varsity placements: Crystal Huang and Michelle Lee were semi-finalists. Noah Lucchesi and Brad Koeller were state champions and won the tournament.
Additionally two Middleton teams qualified for nationals at the NSDA tournament. Dheeraj Pasikanti and Dhruv Prakash as well as Ben Pralat and Nancy Liu are qualified to attend NSDA nationals later this year.
