Model UN Students prep for their conference the next day

Middleton High School’s Model United Nations Club participated in the Chicago International

Model United Nations Conference (CIMUN) from February 4th -6th. The student delegates
participated in a variety of both present-day and historical (1952) committees, including
the World Health Organization, US Senate, Defense Leadership Forum, UN Security Council,
and the Cabinets of Russia and China.

Topics of the conference included climate change as a public health crisis, prevention of regional instability, internal security from espionage, and equity of vaccine distribution, among many others. The conference also included a trivia night and a foreign affairs networking event where students had the opportunity to ask questions of consuls from around the world. MHS students Charlotte Neumann, Mason Bauer, and ShradhaGodishala received conference awards for their exceptional individual performance within their committees. Middleton Model UN will next participate in the Northwestern University Model United Nations Conference (NUMUN) from April 7th -10th.

Sign-up is currently open on MyPaymentsPlus and will close on March 2nd.  Model UN meets every Monday from 4:00- 5:00 pm in the MHS library. New members are welcome to join at any point throughout the school year.
