No School 11/29

Over this five day break, the Middleton High School building experienced a mechanical failure resulting in frozen and burst pipes and water damage in the building. This weekend, in collaboration with our team of contractors, we assessed the damage and worked with a company to start the drying process. We also planned for a company to assess the damages in more detail and evaluate the facility for health and safety impacts.

The damage seems contained in the new, north end, three story section of the building. This area has been cordoned off so that drying and repairs can be completed in the coming days.

In order to have the building fully evaluated and prepared for the return of students:

* There will be no school for MHS students on Monday, November 29th

Reminder: All First Quarter school work must be turned in by the end of the day
Monday
* Learning will be virtual and asynchronous, Tuesday, November 30th through Friday, December 3rd
* Tuesday will remain a B Day, Wednesday an A Day, and so on through the week

For MHS students needing internet access, there will be learning space and internet access available at Clark Street Community School (CSCS). For students who ride the bus, Transportation will pick you up at your normal time and location. For all students needing internet, please head to CSCS when you arrive and stop at the office for further instructions.

Families wishing to have meals for students may pick them up at either Glacier Creek or Kromrey Middle School between 11:30 - 12:30 each day this week. Please stop in the main office to sign in and get further directions.

We will send updated communication midweek. Students should plan to log in to their email accounts by 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday to receive specific directions regarding their coursework.

Thank you for your flexibility and understanding.
