MCPASD hosted its annual Scholarship Night on May 13 for graduating seniors from Middleton High School and Clark Street Community School, with support from the MCPASD Education Foundation, which facilitated the awarding of nearly $121,736 in scholarships to 95 students.
For the Class of 2026, 68 seniors received scholarships totaling more than $84,486, generously donated by community members as well as local businesses and organizations. In addition, 27 graduating seniors received a total of $37,250 from scholarships funded by or held by the Education Foundation.
“Scholarship Night is a beloved tradition for our students and for our educators,” said Middleton High School Associate Principal Ray Rosing. “It’s an opportunity to come together as a community to put the spotlight on students’ hard work and perseverance throughout their high school careers. We celebrate their achievements and get a sneak peek of what’s ahead in students’ next chapter.”
The scholarships include a range of community donors along with the scholarships funded by the Education Foundation, which has been awarding scholarships in its name since 2018. In 2022, the Education Foundation assumed management of community scholarships that are awarded by the high school.
“The annual ceremony is always inspiring in terms of both students’ accomplishments and the generosity of donors in our community,” said John Scherer, chair of the Education Foundation. “It’s rewarding to hear students’ stories and post-high school plans, and it’s an honor to be able to make an impact on their journeys with our scholarships.”
The Education Foundation works to foster excellence within MCPASD by funding innovative educational opportunities, supporting equitable access, and building community partnerships. Learn more on the Education Foundation’s website.
