WSMA

On April 30, over 100 music students from Middleton High School, Kromrey Middle School, and Glacier Creek Middle School participated in the Wisconsin School Music Association (WSMA) State Solo & Ensemble Festival hosted at UW-Platteville.  These students qualified by earning high marks at earlier festivals in February and March.  Students performed solos or small ensembles in front of a judge and audience members, and then received scores and commentary on their performance.

A handful of students were also selected to receive a prestigious WSMA State Exemplary Performance Award.  Students are nominated throughout the day for exceptional performances. Then, each of the 20 judges can only select two performances from the over 1000 events at the festival to receive the award.
