Speak Up Speak Out
Our district partners with Speak Up Speak Out Wisconsin, a confidential school safety tip line that helps us care for every student and keep our schools safe.
If you or your child see or hear something that feels concerning, please say something. This could include worries about student safety, bullying, threats, or a student who may need support. We take every tip seriously and appreciate families helping us look out for one another.
• Submit a tip online at https://www.p3campus.com/tipform.aspx?ID=5150
• Tips can be shared anonymously.
• Every report is reviewed by trained professionals and school staff.
• When needed, we work with local law enforcement and support teams.
• Our goal is early support and prevention so concerns can be addressed quickly and thoughtfully.
This system is not for emergencies. If there is immediate danger, call 911.
When you speak up, you help protect and support our entire school community.
Standard Response Protocol
Our schools use the Standard Response Protocol to guide how we respond in emergency situations.
This protocol uses clear and simple language so students, staff, and families understand what is happening and what actions are being taken. Students and staff practice these procedures throughout the year so they feel prepared and confident.
Safety Actions You May Hear
Hold
Students remain in their classrooms or learning spaces and hallways stay clear. This is used when we need to limit movement inside the building.
Secure
Students and staff move indoors and exterior doors are locked. This is used when there is a situation outside the building.
Lockdown
Locks, lights, out of sight. This is used when there is a potential threat inside the building.
Evacuate
Students and staff move to a designated safe location. This is used when it is safer to leave the area or building.
Shelter
Students and staff take protective actions based on the situation. This is used during severe weather or environmental hazards.
Familiarity with these tools helps families feel informed and confident, and helps us respond quickly and calmly if a situation arises. For more information visit, https://www.mcpasd.k12.wi.us/page/safety-security
