During the April 8, 2024, School Board meeting, we bid a heartfelt goodbye to Board Members Simrnjit Seerha and Gail Shepler as they completed their final term.
Both members were elected in 2021 and have since created a lasting impact on our District. Beyond their routine duties, both Simrnjit and Gail went above and beyond to maintain a consistent presence in our schools and serve in the best interest of our students and staff.
They played active roles in several committees, including the Board Policy Committee, which resulted in thoughtful updates and positive action.
Simrnjit supported several youth organizations throughout the District and served on the legislative committee. Additionally, she was an engaged observer for the employee handbook committee and helped represent the MCPASD School Board as a Clerk.
Gail played a key role in developing an onboarding manual for new board members and establishing a School Board mentor-mentee program. She also served as a School Board Vice President for one year.
We extend our deepest gratitude for their service and wish them the best in their future endeavors.
