West Middleton Scholastic Book Fair

West Middleton's annual Scholastic Book Fair is a great way to keep our treasured library
well-stocked with the latest exciting new reads, while adding to individual classroom
collections, as well. This year's Book Fair will be held in the library on Oct. 10-13 which
includes the well-attended Family Night Tues., Oct 11, beginning after school and lasting
until 7:00 PM. Family Night enables families to explore the many Scholastic books for
sale in the library, while meeting friends and doing some theme-related crafts.

Chair Responsibilities
As chair of the WM Scholastic Book Fair, one has the opportunity to work with our
School Librarian and an enthusiastic group of volunteers to add exciting new books to the
library and to individual classroom collections. The Chair recruits and organizes
volunteers to help with set up and break down of the Book Fair, keeps school staff current
on dates and times of the Fair, and schedules volunteers to work at the Fair during sale
times. The Chair further coordinates theme-related decorations for the Library and the
front hallway bulletin board and overseas student games held both during the week and at
Family Night, in which the yearly theme is highlighted to drum up enthusiasm for the
Fair.
