YMCA After School Day Care

Sunset Ridge is a site for the YMCA School Age Program. The YMCA offers childcare for Sunset Ridge students after school until as late as 5:45 p.m. Child care is on site at Sunset Ridge so students do not require transportation to their child care provider. The program also offers Early Release programs on District CRT Early Release days. The YMCA program is state licensed and is supervised by trained, professional YMCA staff who provide a positive child care experience.

Children enrolled in the YMCA School Age Program are encouraged to participate in a variety of activities. Large motor activities enhance physical fitness, encourage sportsmanship and promote cooperative learning. Using a variety of arts and crafts materials, children enrolled in the program will also be encouraged to explore their creativity. In addition, teachers may help children with homework. For afterschool appetites, the YMCA will provide a snack each day.
