This year's goal: 20,000 Campbells UPC Codes!

Save UPC codes from participating Campbell's, Prego, Swanson, Franco-American, Pepperidge Farm and V8 products. These are used to obtain educational materials and playground equipment through Campbell's.

To participate in the program, collect lids and UPC codes from the List of Eligible Products from Campbell's, Franco American, Pepperidge Farm, Prego, etc. between the beginning of school and May 1st. This year, there are many bonus products that allow us to get extra points with fewer codes. You should also watch for coupons and other "Bonus Specials" which appear in the Sunday coupon section of your newspaper.

UPC codes from Campbells labels are counted in early May to make selections from the Campbell's catalog.

It is very helpful if you cut the UPC codes on the Campbells's soup containers before sending them to school.  Campbells has changed the way they do this - we cannot use the front label as in the past - we must have the UPC codes.

Sunset Ridge staff uses the points earned from the labels to select items that will benefit our school and students, including items for the classrooms, gym classes, library, staff workroom and recess toys.

Save box tops with the "Box Tops for Education" logo on them from participating General Mills, Betty Crocker, Yoplait, and Lloyd's products. Our school receives 10 cents for each box top collected.

This year we have two different milk cap collection programs. You can save the specially-marked milk caps from Golden Gurnsey Dairy and Morning Glory products like last year, and now, you can also collect specially-marked milk caps from Kemps. For every cap we collect from either program, our school receives 5 cents.  Deadline to turn in caps for the year is June 1st.

The Kid$ Cap$ & Ca$h program offered by Golden Guernsey Dairy and Morning Glory allows us to collect milk caps from gallons and half-gallon containers of milk produced by either company. Our school can earn up to $10,000 that we receive in the form of a check to spend on anything we want.

The Nickels for Schools program offered by Kemps allows us to collect milk caps from gallons and half-gallon containers of Kemps milk, along with proof-of-purchase symbols from paper half-gallons of milk, cottage cheese and sour cream.

Designate Sunset Ridge Elementary School as your recipient of choice for this program and our school receives a percentage of the total purchases made with your Target charge card.

Through the Take Charge of Education program, Target will donate an amount equal to 1% of Target Visa and Target Card purchases made at Target and Target.com, and 1/2% of Target Visa purchases made elsewhere, to the eligible K-12 school of your choice, subject to Take Charge of Education program rules. For some schools, that's over $10,000 a year.

The school collects pop tabs from your aluminum cans and donates them to Ronald McDonald house charities, supporting children in need.

Bring in your bagged aluminum cans to be recycled for cash. The PTA uses the proceeds from recycled cans to purchase playground balls, jump ropes, sidewalk chalk, etc. for kids to use on the playground at recess.  Drop off next to the dumpster at the east end of the building.
