Inspired Teacher/Inspired Student: Experiential Strategies to Foster a Positive Environment for Learning and Differentiating Instruction

Experiential approaches to teaching can enhance your ability to engage and motivate students, inspire a sense of discovery, instill a desire to learn and help create a positive and supportive learning community.

This 5 day course explores how to create and maintain a positive environment for learning and increase involvement and buy in from students. Educators will gain a variety of active learning approaches and interactive games and activities that will help liven up lessons in Math, Science, English, Health and other academic subjects and encourage experimentation and creative problem solving. We'll share practical teaching tools, strategies, and a variety of engaging activities that you can use to develop a healthy atmosphere of respect and trust within your classroom and help students take more control and responsibility for their learning. These activities and strategies will support school initiatives and curriculum such as Tribes, Responsive Classroom, Character Education and Bullying and Harassment Prevention.

Join in this fun and interactive course and leave with new perspectives on experiential education, differentiated instruction, positive behavioral support, classroom community building, lesson planning and how to capitalize on your own unique style and strengths as an educator.
