In addition to the six elementary schools, two middle schools, one high school and an alternative high school, facilities include the District Administrative Center, the District Operations Center, the Transportation Center, the Performing Arts Center and the Indoor Pool.

District Administrative Center (DAC)

The District Administrative Center (DAC) is located at 7106 South Avenue in Middleton. The facility was formerly Elm Lawn Elementary School, and includes conference rooms, and a gymnasium. The Board of Education conducts its meetings in the DAC. Employees provide administrative support for the entire District, and include the Superintendent’s Office, Community Relations, Employee Services, Business Services, Student Services, Professional Development, and  Technology.

The District Operation Center hosts both the maintenance program and the Food & Nutritional Services Program. The maintenance program takes pride in ensuring that all of our facilities are clean, safe and up-to-date. The District follows a maintenance plan to ensure all buildings receive necessary upkeep on an annual basis. The Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District's food service program operates on a computerized lunch system called Lunch Express. Students are each assigned a bar code, and purchase their lunches without the use of lunch tickets or lunch money. Families deposit money in a family account.

The Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District operates its own transportation program. The District transports those students living more than 1.1 miles from school, or if a hazardous situation exists. Please contact transportation at 829-2365 for more information.

The beautiful new Performing Arts Center at Middleton High School is a work of art fit for many types of cultural performances, presentations or meetings. A distinctive glass exterior designed by James Moravec of Potter Lawson gives way to a stunning interior featuring wood paneling and brick. Area residents make good use of the swimming pool, which is located at 2230 Bristol Street, on the northeast side of Middleton High School. The L-shaped pool features a state-of-the art chlorine purifying system, and includes a diving well. Residents and non-residents alike are welcome to use the pool. A lap lane is almost always available. Pool activities include Red Cross-sponsored swimming lessons, water aerobic classes, open swim, Water Safety courses, and the Master's Swim.
