Middleton High School has some of the best athletic facilities in the state.

Middleton High School's on-site facilities include a stadium, varsity gym, field house, small gym, indoor pool, baseball field, and tennis courts.

Middleton's stadium was built in 1967 and renovated in 1977. The stadium press box was remodeled in 2002. The stadium was renovated again in 2007, which included a synthetic turf football field, soccer field, nine lane polyurethane track, and new jumps and throws areas. The outdoor track facility was named American Sports Builders Association Outdoor Track Facility of the Year for 2007-2008. With the renovation, the stadium was renamed Breitenbach Stadium while the field remains Memorial Field.

A new Middleton field house was added as part of the High School renovations in 2002. The old field house became the varsity gym and Middleton also has a small gym. These three gyms are where the basketball, wrestling, volleyball and gymnastics teams compete. Middleton has long been the host to the local WIAA Division 1 boys basketball sectional final and the Division 1 Girls and Boys Swimming meets.

Middleton has had an indoor pool since 1990. The pool hosts swimming and diving meets and has served as the permanent home for Big Eight Conference swimming and diving meets every year since Middleton joined the conference in 1994.

In 1997, Middleton added the Park Lawn tennis courts which consist of 8 top-quality courts. Middleton's current baseball field was added to the school's facilities in 1967.

Off-site, Middleton has use of some outstanding facilities as well. Capitol Ice Arena, Pleasant View Golf Course, the Middleton Soccer Complex, the Middleton Softball Complex, and Sorenson Field are all excellent venues that host MHS and WIAA sporting events.
