Wohlleber elected to ASBO position

Assistant Superintendent for Business Services Tom Wohlleber was recently elected to the Association of School Business Officials (ASBO) International Board of Directors.

He will begin his term Jan. 1, 2013 as one of the new directors on the board.
 
Wohlleber has served as a school business official for the past 26 years. He earned a master's degree in School Business Management from the UW-Whitewater and is a past president of both the Wisconsin Association of School Business Officials (WASBO) and Wisconsin School Safety Coordinators Association.

He has received WASBO’s two highest honors, the Wallace E. Zastrow Award and Wisconsin School Business Official of the Year. In 2010, he was awarded the most prestigious honor available to a school business official, the Distinguished Professional Eagle Award from the Association of School Business Officials (ASBO) International.

Wohlleber has served as an adviser to the Board of Trustees for the Wisconsin Association of School Boards Insurance Plan for the past 15 years. He also serves as chair of the Loss Control Committee for the State of Wisconsin Local Government Property Insurance Fund. He is a member of both the WASBO and ASBO Risk Management Committees.

He has taught school finance and school business management graduate courses at UW-Whitewater, Edgewood College, and is a guest lecturer for graduate level educational administration courses at Viterbo University and the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
