Pool hours expanded for fall
Due to an increased demand from all age groups and an increase in the types of activities being requested the indoor pool will remain open for Shared Use until 10 p.m. on Monday through Thursday, increase Saturday hours with Shared Use and Family Swim from 2 until 5 p.m., and open an hour earlier for Shared Use on Sundays at 11 a.m.
Family Swim is also available on Sundays from 5 to 8 p.m. Two or more family members are admitted for $1 each.
Youth water polo to debut this fall
Children ages 12 to 18 are invited to play and learn water polo under the supervision and instruction of Frank Zillner and Jim Dietz each Sunday from 11 a.m. until noon at the indoor pool.
The first session begins Sept. 16. Fundamentals, strategies, and fitness training will be geared to each participant. Practices for older children are more intense to accommodate their needs and prepare them for potential competition.
Fees for the six-week session are: $50 for MCPA members, $60 for MCPASD residents and $80 for non-residents.
