DAC gym floor gets a makeover

If you haven't been to the gymnasium at the District Administrative Center recently, you're in for quite a surprise.

The MCPASD Facilities Services department held a gym floor refinishing clinic on June 7. The clinic was sponsored by Messner Inc., a floor maintenance company on Madison's east side that has been in business since 1959.

Districts from around the area were invited to attend, Facilities Services manager Bill Eberhardt said. The clinic focused process and techniques involved in refinishing a gym floor beginning with the floor cleaning and moving through the steps of screening, tacking and applying finish. 

"The results were quite remarkable and the clinic was very helpful to those who attended,'' Eberhardt said.
