4K students who live in Cross Plains will have two options for preschool for the 2017-18 school year.

Academy of Little Cardinals and Little Red-Cross Plains are now available, 4K principal Kari Saunders announced.

Academy of Little Cardinals will provide 4K in the building that was formerly operated by Club House for Kids. The Academy of Little Cardinals will also offer childcare for children aged 6 weeks to 10 years old. Academy of Little Cardinals has openings in their morning classroom and will offer an afternoon session if there are at least 10 children registered.

Little Red will provide 4K in the St. Martin's church building. Little Red will offer a morning and afternoon session in Cross Plains and currently has openings in both sections of 4K.

Little Red currently has five sections of 4K at its Middleton site. Little Red has been a partner of MCPASD 4K for the past six years.

Saunders also announced that the District is piloting afternoon 4K transportation for the Cross Plains attendance area. Children will have their own bus route to 4K and would ride home from 4K with Park students. Parents of 4K students will need to put their child on the bus and also meet the child as they are dropped off at the end of the day.

"We are thrilled to have new 4K options in the Cross Plains attendance area,'' Saunders said.

In addition, Saunders noted the District also has a partnership with Primrose Preschool for the upcoming school year.  Primrose will offer a 4K morning session and also has wrap-around care options.  Transportation to Primrose is provided to students who live in the Sunset Ridge attendance area, Saunders said.

If you are interested in registering your child for either 4K site, please e-mail Rose Kelso or call her at 608-829-2340. To learn more, please visit the MCPASD 4K website.
