A few student leaders set the ground work to begin a leadership council composed of presidents or leaders of MHS Student Organizations. This group is similar to the Captains Table. However, the purpose of the leadership Council is to bring together leaders representing Student Organizations so that they can address the following goals.

1. Increase communication and coordination between Student Organizations.
2. Promote awareness and provide mutual support for the events that are being sponsored by Student Organizations.
3. Better recognize the achievements of students participating in Student Organizations.

Composition of the Council: To begin, council representation will be grouped by similar organizations. After the council is fully implemented, the Leaderhship Council will review this process to determine if the council should be expanded to one representative per Student Organization.

1. Leadership and Service - One each from Key Club, Student Council, and National Honor Society. If one of the Student Senators wants to regularly serve on the council they have the option to be a member.
2. Career and Technical - One selected from Chef's Club, DECA, Engineering Club, FBLA, FCCLA, and HOSA.
3. English - One representative selected from Debate, Drama, Forensics, or LMC Club.
4. Fine Arts - Two, selected from at least two different categories among art, music, and drama organizations.
5. World Language - One selected from the International Club.
6. Math and Science - One selected from a math or science organization.
7. Physical Education - One selected from among the physical education organizations.
8. Social Studies - Two selected from among the social studies organizations. At least one representative should be from an organization promoting diversity.
9. Optional - One representative selected from an unfunded organization
