Ecology Club is dedicated to service projects which benefit the environment.  The club hosts the organic dinner in October, which is the major fund raiser for worthy projects.  The students also plan Earth Week activities to promote car pooling, biking, endangered resources and other environmental concerns.  Students who are committed to a better, greener society are encouraged to join.  In addition, students can also compete on Envirothon teams which are comprised of five students who study objectives in forestry, wildlife, water resources, and soil.  An oral presentation is also presented at the State competition in the spring.  MHS teams have always placed in the top three teams at state.  They have placed first three times and advanced to the national competition.  If you are interested in natural resources, this club is for you.
