MHS freshman Ryleigh Iverson has been accepted to attend the Think Global Schools.

TGS is a global-traveling, place-based high school. There are 45 students in grades 10-12 led by 14 staff members and a head of school. The school travels to a different country each quarter, which means Iverson will attend 12 unique countries during her three years.

Each eight-week quarter is separated by a five-week break when students fly home, reflect on what they have learned and prepare for their next excursion of study.

"This has been a goal of Ryleigh's since she learned of the school several years ago,'' said her mother, Jennifer Iverson. "It's exciting, a bit surreal and a big change for us.''

Ryleigh Iverson will begin her sophomore year in Botswana in July. She also plans to travel to India, Japan and Spain her first year. She plans to study her final two years in China, Oman, Costa Rica, Greece, Bosnia, Peru, Australia and Italy.
