Senior trip sign up

TODAY is your last chance to sign up for the senior trip.  Permission slips must be turned in to Mrs. Herbin by 10:00 AM, NO EXCEPTIONS.

 

Seniors:

 Auditions for Graduation Speaker will be held TODAY during

all school resource.. Speeches need to be less than five minutes

and we will need a written copy and a verbal performance. Auditions for musical performances will be held on Thursday,

 May 24 in the morning. See Ms Nicholson in the

 Administrative Office to set up an appointment ASAP!!

 

Ping Pong club

Will have it’s first meeting on TODAY in room 1301

 from 3:30 to 4:00pm. Bring your paddles for a smashing time!

 All are welcome.

 

Attention Best Buddies Members:

The end of the year party will be at Fireman's park TODAY

from 4:00-5:30. If you have been involved with Best Buddies

 at all this year, we hope to see you at both of these events.

 

International Club members:

 Our final meeting of the school year will be TODAY after school.  We will be meeting in room 1123 and choosing next year’s officers and going to Fireman’s park for a picnic and end of the year celebrations.  Hope to see you there.

This year's yearbook distribution is on Thursday, May 24th

at 3:30 in the field house.  We will be raising funds for

THE SHINY JULES FUND and hosting various activities

and events.

 

 

Tuesday, May 29th

RETURNING FALL ATHLETES,

 There will be a mandatory meeting for all interested and/or returning fall athletes on Tuesday, May 29th from 3:30 to 3:50 p.m.  Please attend the meetings at the scheduled locations.

Thursday, May 31
Almost Summer Orchestra Concert

The MHS Symphony Orchestra will present its Almost Summer Orchestra Concert on Thursday, May 31 at 7:30 pm in the MHS Performing Arts Center.  The featured work is the great Tchaikovsky 1812 Overture--come hear the Russian forces fire
its cannons at Napoleon's army.  Also on the program are Bach's Brandenburg Concerto No.3 and the Adagietto from Mahler's Symphony No.5, along with music by Weiner and Beethoven, recognition of graduating seniors, and other orchestra awards.
This concert is free and the public is encouraged to attend.

 

NO OPEN GYMS

On June 5,6,7,and 8 during the exam scheduled resource times (from 8-9:30) the field house will be used for physical

 education make ups. NO OPEN GYMS!!

 

 

MHS EVENTS and Opportunities 

 

 

Growing Food and Sustainability,

 The group who made our school gardens look

AWESOME, is looking for High School aged interns

who work insmall teams to plan and lead workshops

for the middle and elementary school aged students

and to organize eventsin support of the program. 

The minimum time commitment

will be 10 hours per week during the summer.

What a greatway to get involved, do service-learning,

and build your job skills! Check out the Eco Club

bulletin board in the science hallway for more information.

  

Bout that Life"
MASH Junior Achievement Company "Bout that Life"

was created recently, and they have embarked on a project

 to help the organization M.O.M.. They are selling wristbands

 for $5. $3 dollars if you donate a can of food, and $2 if you

 donate 2 or more cans. 10% of the total sales will also

 go to M.O.M.. They will be on sale during lunches,

 A representative will respond to complete the transaction.

 

Attention ALL Students!

The PAC lobby is not a study hall, lunchroom,
or hang out for students during the school day.
It is an unsupervised area that no one is allowed in,
unless you are accompanied by a staff member.
Students choosing to leave the school through
the lobby will not be allowed to re enter the building
through the lobby. Anyone caught propping
lobby doors open or letting other friends in
through the lobby will be subject to discipline. This means before, during and after school hours.

STUDENT SERVICES PHONE

The student phone in the student services office

 is available during the following times:

Before school (until 7:55)

Passing time (first five minutes)

Lunch (early until 11:55)

Lunch (late until 1:40)

After school (until 4:00)

The phone will be turned off at all other times.

 If you have an  "emergency", your house secretary

 will use her phone to contact a parent or guardian.

 

 

 

TESTING CENTER
The testing center hours are from

8am - 4pm every day
Reminder: all students planning to take a test in

the testing center during ALL SCHOOL RESOURCE

need to sign up IN ADVANCE and get a pass from

Mrs. Molloy or Mrs. Stine in the testing center.

There are limited seats during this time. Please plan ahead.

If you do not sign up ahead of time you cannot

take your test during that time.

 

Attention Students!

Schools of Hope wants you, to come and sign up!

If you haven't already done so, now is your chance

to sign up for a tutor. We have several new volunteers

ready and waiting to get all of you on the right track

with passing grades and better understanding of content.

Attention Seniors:
If you applied using the common app and need

to get mid-years out, please log on to Parchment

to request transcripts.  If you have any problems doing so,

or are unsure if you need to send out mid-year transcripts, please see your counselor

 

 

MHS Home Work Club
 MHS now has a Home Work Club.

They meet on Wednesdays and Thursdays

from 3:45 – 5:00 pm in the Collaborative Learning Center (CLC). Students will receive help with homework

in various courses from MHS classroom teachers.

Project Lead the Way Biomedical and Engineering classes will be meeting in the back of Room 1307,

where the students will have access to the

necessary modeling and data collecting software.

 Bus service will be provided – depart from MHS

at 5:10 pm with drop off at Cross Plains Public Library

and the Elver Park Community Center.

 

 

 

Attention Seniors:

All seniors applying to any colleges through

the Common Application (not the UW System Application) need to see their school counselor

immediately for additional information.

 

 

Lunch-time reminder:

1. Please clean up your food area and stack your tray.

2.  Ten minutes before the passing bell at the
end of lunch the doors to the South Beach restrooms
and hall will be closed.  When they are closed you
may use the Student Center restrooms and
go outside using the Student Center doors.

Club Imagine.
Imagine meets after school on Mondays from
3:45 -4:30 in room 2056. Come help and join Imagine!  

 

HOSA-Health Occupations Students of America

 Will be meeting on Tuesdays in room 1015 from 3:45-4:45.

 

 

Attention Drama Club:

 Crew still meets every Wednesday afternoon,

so come on down to the PAC.

 

 

Model UN meeting

The first Model UN meeting of the year is TODAY,

Monday (Get it MUN-Day),

after school in the upper LMC.

 

 

International Club:

 We will be having our first meeting

Tuesday, September 13th.

After school in room 1123.

 

 

Art Club
Will meet after school in room 1206. 

It will take place every Tuesday until 5:00 PM.

 

 

Best Buddies
Will be kicking off their year on September 14th

with two meetings: Before school: 7:20am,

or after school:  3:30 pm in the MAC Lab. 

 

The Invisible World Club
Will be having their first meeting on

Thursday, Sept. 15th at

7:15 in the morning.

 

 

Mock Trial
Mock Trial attorney practice is on the first day

of the week. Whole club meets Thursdays at 3:30

in Room 2107. See Ms. Tunison with any questions!"

 

 

Ultimate Frisbee Team
Parisi Park on Wednesdays for practice,

or on Thursdays check announcements or

the board outside the social studies office

for the location of Thursday pickup.

All are welcome, but you MUST wear athletic shoes

and bring a white shirt and a dark shirt.

STUDENTS-Even if you have materials checked out

for a class, The due date DOES matter!! You must renew

 your items BEFORE they become overdue!!

Yearbooks will NOT be given to any student with

outstanding obligations!

Seniors may not sign up for Senior trip if they have

 outstanding obligations! Stop by the LMC with questions

or check your record on infinite campus
