Local Scholarship Information

Middleton High School is again very fortunate to have several individuals and organizations offer scholarships to this year's graduating seniors. These scholarship awards are made available to all seniors who will be continuing their education at any college, university, or vocational/technical school. There are also scholarship awards for students who will be pursuing an education after the military. Many are specific to a major or educational institution. The scholarship awards range from $100 to $2300.

The MHS scholarship committee, with some input from the entire faculty, will use the application to select the recipient for each scholarship. By filling out this single application, a senior is applying for any scholarship included in this program. However, no senior will be awarded more than one scholarship from this program. The application should be filled out in ink, or if possible, typed. The application may be computer generated. It must follow the format of the application form and may not exceed two pages. Do not use the back of any page. Limit activities and accomplishments to those done in high school only. It should be neat, complete and on time. The appearance of the application is important. Should you be selected as a scholarship winner, your application will be sent to the scholarship sponsor.

Each sponsoring organization or individual established the selection criteria within school guidelines. Criteria used in selecting recipients include, but are not limited to, class rank, intended major, co-curricular activities, community service, leadership and citizenship. Please include your intended major for your post high school education.

Deadline to turn in the Local Scholarship Application is:
3:40 p.m on Friday, March 4th, 2011.
