Scott Schweickhardt , Co-Head Varsity & JV Swimming Coach

A 2002 graduate of UW Stevens Point, Scott has been coaching for swimming 16 seasons. A native of Wausau, Wisconsin, Scott began club swimming at the age of five. He swam competitively for the Wausau YMCA, Wausau West High School, and UW Stevens Point. Scott graduated with a major in Sociology and a double minor in Psychology and Public Administration/Policy Analysis. After college Scott volunteer with AmeriCorps in Federal Way, Washington where he discovered his passion for teaching. In 2003, he began working towards a teaching certification while coaching at Madison West. Completing the teaching certification process at Edgewood College in the winter of 2005, he began to coach at Middleton in the fall. Currently, Scott coaches for the girls and boys program while stay at home with his 18 month old son.
Mike Swanson, Co-Head Varsity & JV Swimming Coach
Mike Swanson returns as co-head coach of the Middleton Boy's Swim team for the 2010-2011 season.
A native of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Mike was a 4-time Pennsylvania State Champion in the 200 and 500 freestyle. Mike was a 4-year letter winner in swimming and a 3-year letter winner in lacrosse at McCaskey High School in Lancaster, PA. He was the swim team captain for his sophomore, junior and senior years.
Mike was recruited by the University of Wisconsin - Madison for swimming in 2004 and completed his college career in 2008. He was a multiple Big Ten Championship finalist in the 200 and 500 freestyles. Mike also a muti-time finalist in the 2006, 2007, 2008 USA Swimming National Championships.
Mike currently works for the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in Madison, WI.

Congratulations to our young men for an excellent day at Sectionals this past Saturday. MHS has qualified the following relays and individual swims:
