Kari Egan, Varsity & JV Assistant Coach
Kari Egan is in her 2nd season with the Cardinal Gymnastics Team. Kari joined the Middleton High School coaching staff in 2010 as Assistant Gymnastics Coach and is thrilled for her first year as Head Gymnastics Coach. In addition to competing many years of club gymnastics, Kari competed 4 years of high school varsity gymnastics for Southwestern/Cuba City and was a 4 year letter winner, as well as earning the honors of All Conference Team, All State Team, All American Team, and National Academic Team. Kari is a 2012 graduate from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in Special Education, and resides in Madison with her fiancé Cullen.
Statistics / Archives
The 2008-20009 season was another hugely successful one for the Cardinals. They finished the regular season as undefeated conference champions. The Cardinals won the JV and Varsity Conference meets, and also won the Mount Horeb Invite.
At the WIAA State Meet in Wisconsin Rapids, the team finished fourth in Division 1 with a score of 140.25. In the individual competition, junior Katie Kutchin placed 2nd in the floor exercise, and finished in 6th place in the All Around competition. Junior Claire Flickinger placed 3rd on the Uneven Parallel Bars.
