Tom Schmitt, Varsity Coach
Coach Schmitt is in his eighth year as the Head Coach. He was the JV baseball coach for 11 years. His first team in 2003 won the Division 1 State Title. Coach Schmitt has taught Elementary Physical Education in the district since 1991. He is a 1991 graduate of UW-Oshkosh. He and his wife Jodi, and three children, Morgan, Brennan and Brady live in Middleton.

Jason Pertzborn , Assistant Varsity Coach
Jason is a 1990 graduate of Middleton. He lettered 2 years as the quarterback and punter, also lettering 2 years in basketball and baseball as a pitcher for the Cards. In his first year at Middleton as a coach, he worked with the defensive backs and wide receivers as a volunteer assistant at the sophomore level. In his second year he was promoted to head coach and has compiled a 55-8 record; 51-7 conference record in 7 years. In 2009 he was named as a varsity assistant on the Cardinal baseball staff.

Jason currently resides in Middleton with his wife Larissa and daughters Sierra and Aubree. He has been a teacher and coach, since 2002 at Middleton. Prior to coming to Middleton he was an assistant at Madison West for 4 years in baseball and football, and also has been involved in Middleton's youth football, basketball, and baseball programs since 1996. Jason has also been involved in Home Talent Baseball from 1990-2005 as a player and coach. Jason attended UW-Stevens Point from 1990-1995 graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and a Minor in Economics, plus was a member of the baseball team. In 1999 Jason returned to school and received his teaching license through Concordia University-Mequon.

Paul Dimmig, Assistant Varsity Coach
Coach Dimmig is in his 10th season as pitching coach for the Cardinals. Coach Dimmig was named the 2006 District V Assistant Coach of the year, and in 2007, his pitching staff had an ERA of 1.96. Dimmig was also named the 2008 Wisconsin Baseball Coaches Association State Assistant Coach of the Year. He is a 1979 graduate of Milton College where he pitched for the Wildcats baseball team. He also coached at UW Whitewater and Oregon High School. He and his wife Ida have one son, PJ, and they live in the Middleton School District.

Dan Hewuse , Junior Varsity Coach
Coach Hewuse is entering his fourth year as the JV baseball coach and a middle school Physical Education teacher in the district. He is a proud Middleton graduate and went on to play baseball and earn his degree from the University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh. Prior to his experience at Middleton, he coached JV baseball and taught for five years in Lakeville, MN. He and his wife Amy along with their two daughters, Madeline and Sydney reside in Middleton.

Eric Simon, Junior Varsity Assistant Coach

Coach Jaeger is in his 1st season as Assistant JV Coach after spending last season as the Head Freshman White Coach. Coach Jaeger is a 2005 graduate from Luther College where he played football and baseball for 4 years. Prior to coming to Middleton, Coach Jaeger spent 2 seasons at the college level being a assistant coach. John graduated from Decorah High School in Decorah, IA and lettered in Football, Wrestling, Track and Field, and Baseball. John and his wife Carrie reside in Madison.

Michael Nass , Freshman White Head Coach
Coach Nass is in third year as a freshman coach and his first year as head coach of the Freshman Red baseball team. Coach Nass is from Minnesota and played baseball at Luther College in Decorah, IA. He lives in southwest Madison with his wife and is a Math teacher at Middleton High School.
