It’s great to be a Cougar!

My name is Eric Engel, I have been very lucky to spend my entire educational career in the Middleton Cross Plains Area School District.  For 13.5 years I was a 7th grade science teacher at Kromrey.  I made the transition to administration filling the Dean of Students position at Kromrey for 1.5 years.  Beginning in February I took over as Associate Principal; I love every part of this position.

I believe in having conversations with students, utilizing restorative practices.  Through restorative conversations I’m providing students with the tools they need to be successful.  Since we have implemented PBIS, we have seen a dramatic drop in suspension rates.  We take great pride in accentuating the positive choices students make.  At Kromrey we have a 4 to 1 positive to negative referral rate.  When students feel safe at school, learning is more efficient on all levels.  Kromrey is a great school because we strive to have all legs of the triangle connected: Student, Home, and School.  Thanks for all you do!
