Upcoming MAP Testing

Beginning January 2012, the Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District will be using a computerized adaptive assessment for students in grades 2-7 and with selected students from other grade levels. This assessment system, Measures of Academic Progress (MAP), measures a student's general knowledge in reading and math. It was developed by the Northwest Evaluation Association and is widely used by school districts across Wisconsin and the nation. Please click the links below for the letter sent to parents on Monday 1/9/12 via electronic email.

Looking for the Staff Contact Information? It's moved!

In an effort to make our website more user friendly and easier to navigate, we've moved the Staff Contact Information to the Kromrey Information tab at the top of the page. You can no longer find it under Staff Information, which has now been renamed Class Websites to better reflect the information found in that tab. Sorry for any confusion.

New Gifted & Talented Webpage:

Check out the new Gifted and Talented page, located under Staff Information tab up top. You'll find announcements, information, and upcoming event dates.

MyCampus Parent Portal
The Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District will provide access to parents and guardians to MyCampus, an on-line link to your child's grades, progress reports, attendance, and more. An internet connection is all that is needed. To access MyCampus, parents or guardians must submit a signed copy of a MyCampus Parent Portal User Agreement to the Kromrey office. MyCampus Parent Portal User Agreement forms are also available in the Kromrey Main office. Once the district receives a user agreement form, login information will be sent to individual families. Families with more than one student in the middle or high school need only register once to gain access to information for each student. This feature is only available for middle and high school. The contact person for MyCampus at Kromrey Middle School is Sherrie Prest in Student Services.

Traffic Safety
It takes all of us doing our part to keep students and staff safe in and around KMS. We have noticed that a few reminders would be helpful in terms of dropping off and picking your student up at school. The Middleton Police Department has been working closely with us concerning this issue.
Speed limit in School Zones is 15 Miles Per Hour
Students not riding the bus should plan on arriving at Kromrey between 7:45 and 7:50 AM. With 14 buses, we have nearly 450 students on campus by 7:35 AM. Having walkers and riders show up later would help ease congestion.

There are three designated spots for student drop off. Please use one of the following preferred locations:
1. Main Entrance (students walk to the cafeteria or around the building to the back)
2. Drive-thru lane on Donna Drive.
3. Alternative Location: Past the crosswalk, down the hill and parallel to the 6th grade wing SEE BELOW

PULL DOWN AS FAR AS POSSIBLE TO EASE CONGESTION AT CROSSWALK

Our flow of traffic is much smoother when people pull down as far as possible. As always, we appreciate your continued support. Please contact Bill Deno, Associate Principal, with any questions. His number is 829-9532.
