Today is a “B” Day

Attention 8th Grade Students:  Just a reminder that you need to turn in your 8th grade Celebration permission slip in the box outside Room 107.  If you’ve misplaced your invitation, stop in the office and pick up a new one. 

 

Attention 6th,7th, and 8th grade students:  The P.E department is having make-up during ELT tomorrow,  and again this Thursday and Friday.

 

https://ssl.gstatic.com/ui/v1/icons/mail/images/cleardot.gifAttention students going into 7th and 8th grade for the next school year:  Tomorrow  we  will have the first organizational meeting for students interested in building a Student Voice Union at Glacier Creek during the lunch hour.    The goal is to help students learn about social justice issues and to learn how to talk and engage others around these issues. 

Did you know that in a span of a year about 3.7 million animals are put down?  The majority of these are perfectly young and healthy animals, they simply have nowhere to go.  Please bring in donations next week to help this cause, and on Friday, May 26th bring a dollar and wear a hat.  For more info, grab a handout from the checkout counter in the LMC.

 

Reminder:  Incoming Freshman and New Athlete All-Sport meeting at MHS Performing Arts Center at Middleton High School, on May 30th from 2017 from 6-7 p.m.  Mark you calendar!!!!  Attendance is highly encouraged for parent and athlete. 

 

Any 8th grade interested in trying out for Middleton High School Cheerleading for the 2017-2018, there will be a meeting on Tuesday, May 30th following the freshman sport meeting.  Ttryouts will begin on Tuesday May 31st from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m.  Stop in the main office and pick up a flyer. 

 

 

MHS TRACK & FIELD CAMP

Middleton High School is holding its track and field camp again this summer. The camp is in June and is for all students entering grades 3-9 in any school district. Athletes will get to learn the basics of track and field, including sprints, shot, long jump, high jump, and much more! New this year, 8th graders entering freshman year will have the chance to learn pole vault and triple jump. Today is a “A” Day

Do you want to help animals? Starting today through May 26th, you can bring in animal supply donations.  Collection boxes will be placed in the 5th grade common area, near Student Services and in the front entryway.  Also on Friday, May 26 bring a dollar for Dane County Human Society and you can wear a hat.  If we can raise enough money to meet our goals, bringing in a dollar on May 26th also means that you'll get entered into a raffle to get to squish some whipped cream in Mr. Deno's face!    Check out the posters around the school or take a handout from the LMC for more information.   Contact Ms. Miller if you have questions: tmiller1@mcpasd.k12.wi.us

 

In Black & White Editors - We will be meeting today (Monday) during your lunch time in Room 162.  Please get your lunch and come to the meeting by 10:50.

Attention 8th grade Students interested in the Dance Team @ MHS:  Tonight is the mandatory informational meeting for both parents and dancers from 5:30 – 6:00 p.m. in the Small gym.  Flyers are available in the main office.   

 

Attention 8th grade Students:  Middleton High School will have an informational meeting for anyone interesting in Cheerleading for the 2017-2018 school year.  The meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 30th following freshman sport meeting.  Tryouts will be held on May 31st, June 1st, 2nd and 5th from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m.  Meet in the MHS concourse. 

INCOMING FRESHMAN AND NEW ATHLETE ALL-SPORT MEETING:

There will be a parent and athlete meeting for all incoming freshman and/or new MHS student-athlete interested in playing ANY sport, during any season, for the 2017-18 school year. The meeting is scheduled for May 30, 2017 from 6 - 7 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center at Middleton High
